Silent Disco · Ripon Cathedral · North Yorkshire

900 Years of Stone.
One Night of 90s.

Three channels · One iconic venue

Friday 23 October 2026  ·  6:30pm – midnight · Two sessions, one night

Ripon Cathedral

Ripon Cathedral has an unbroken history reaching back to the 7th century — over 1,350 years of music inside the same walls. St Wilfrid brought cantors from Canterbury to sing here in AD 680; the choral tradition hasn't stopped since.

The cathedral hosts everything from organ recitals to silent discos — proceeds go straight back into the building's mission, education programme, music and heritage conservation. Dancing under stained glass with the nave above you is a different kind of night out — and the cathedral itself has welcomed silent discos before, so we're in good company.

Three Channels. Your Choice.

Pick up your headphones at the door, pick a channel, switch any time. The cathedral stays quiet — the dancefloor does not.

01 Pink

90s pop & dancefloor anthems. The Spice Girls / Take That / Steps end of things.

02 Cyan

Indie & rock. Oasis, Pulp, Blur, Verve, Stone Roses. Britpop forever.

03 Gold

House & dance. The bigger end of the rave. Hands in the air under the rafters.
