About the Spiegeltent

The Spiegeltent is one of the great traditions of Harrogate International Festivals — a touring mirror-tent that pitches up at Crescent Gardens every two years and transforms the green into something out of another century. Bohemian mirrored walls, wooden floors, stained glass, red velvet booths and lamped lighting — it's a venue with a soul, and one of the very few in the country.

HIF describes it as "the perfect backdrop" — a space that lets artists explore new ways to present their work, and lets audiences experience them up close. Across its ten-day run the tent shifts personality through the day: jazz club at lunchtime, family festival in the afternoon, cabaret and burlesque by night, club shows on the weekend.

2026 marks another biennial return. The tent has appeared in Harrogate in 2018, 2022, 2024 and now 2026 — Jimmy's closes the season on the final Saturday.

Location

Crescent Gardens, Harrogate, HG1 2RN. Two minutes' walk from the town centre, opposite the Royal Hall and the Royal Pump Room.

The Tent

Mirrored interior, wooden dancefloor, red velvet booths around the edge. Standing event with seating in the booths and outside in the gardens.

Tickets

From £18 standing up to £150 for an 8-person booth with drinks included. Buy via HIF or call the box office on 01423 562303.

The Festival

Harrogate International Festivals is one of the UK's longest-running arts charities — established 1966. The Spiegeltent season runs 25 June – 4 July 2026.

Jimmy's at the Spiegeltent — 2022

We closed the Spiegeltent in 2022 and it was a riot. Sold out, wigs out, full Saturday Night Fever poses on the dancefloor. These are the originals — same crowd, same tunes, same tent. 2026 picks up where '22 left off.
